UMKC Forever Fit initiative & KC Slimdown Challenge

Ready for a challenge?

UMKC will be taking part in the city-wide KC Slimdown competition. During the 10-week challenge, sponsored by Cerner, employees build community teams of four to six people and work towards losing weight for a chance to win weekly random drawings (donated by Cerner) and a grand prize luxury vacation valued at $4,500.

In conjunction with the KC Slimdown competition, which begins on July 20, UMKC will be introducing its new Forever Fit initiative.

UMKC Forever Fit includes educational sessions on a variety of wellness topics, as well as activities. At each session, Human Resources, Healthy for Life, and the Swinney Recreation Center, will sponsor random drawings for prizes, gift cards and more!

We welcome the participation of all employees in Forever Fit activities, whether or not you also join our Slimdown Challenge team.
