BILLING & LATE CHARGES

The fee per credit hour for the current semester may be found at the bottom of the HSCP Home Page

The UMKC Cashier's Office will bill the student directly for the course(s) in which they are enrolled.  The bill will be sent to each student at their home address.

Students who have not received a bill within 60 days from the date of enrollment should contact the HSCP Office immediately at (816) 235-1165.

UMKC policy states that a student's balance must be paid in full by the end of the semester.

This may include course fees, interest penalties for past due accounts or library fines.

NOTE: Library fines should be paid directly to the library and may be paid by mail, phone, or in person.  Please contact the Miller Nichols Library directly (816) 235-1526 to arrange payment by cash, check, or charge.  Students who have unpaid library fines will not be able to receive UMKC course transcripts until payment is made in full.

If payment is not received by the scheduled due date on the student's Monthly Billing Statement, an additional charge amounting to 1% of the outstanding balance plus a late fee of $10.00 per month will be applied to that student's account .  (If the Minimum Payment or Billed Balance Due is paid on or before the scheduled due date, as it appears on the student's Monthly Billing Statement, no late fees will apply.)

Failure to pay the full amount by the end of the semester can:

1.  Prevent the student from enrolling in UMKC courses for any following semesters.

2.  Prevent the student's  transcripts from being released to other colleges or universities.
