HSCP TUITION ASSISTANCE

Although the HSCP Program does try to accommodate all requests, UMKC can only supply a limited number of assistantships for each class.  Awards are based on need and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

HERE'S HOW TO APPLY:

START THE PROCESS

  1. Fill out the Request for Tuition Assistance Form on the back side of your Registration Form.

  2. You, the student should complete the request form.  (NOTE: If a parent fills out this portion, it will be considered invalid).

  3. You and your parents/legal guardians should sign the form.

  4. Return the form to your instructor for review.

NEXT - REVIEW

  1. The Instructor will review the submitted forms.

  2. The instructor will identify the students to receive tuition assistance.

  3. The Instructor will endorse the Request for Tuition Assistance Form by submitting it to the HSCP Office.

  4. It will then be reviewed by the HSCP office and awarded or declined

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO FOLLOW UP

  1. You can check with your instructor or the HSCP Office to see if you have been awarded a tuition assistantship.

  2. If it has been awarded, the subsequent bill will be adjusted to reflect this.

  3. If you were not awarded a tuition assistantship, please contact the HSCP Program Director immediately after the current semester's registration closes.  If there are any unused tuition assistantships still available, they will be distributed, subsequent to review of need, on a first come, first served basis.
