Position Title: Research Assistant
Position Description: Studio(s) – Assist in desk critiques and reviews; grading; student seminars, writing project statements, organizing course files and student work, distributing pertinent material and announcements to class, contacting jurors and obtaining reference materials. Collecting, storing and cataloging student work. Instruct and demonstrate to the class process, necessary drawing skills, graphic composition and medium, model skills, presentations, oral and graphic. Acquaint oneself as to skills and research material relative to class objectives and goals including individual projects and exercises. Help class set-up displays and presentation materials for juries and reviews. After juries and reviews check that areas are back in order and material is in storage. Instruct class to take photographs and record graphic work and models.
Computer Room – Supervise student use in the computer lab at Epperson House and see that students comply with the university regulations. Maintain computer room to a professional level. Supervise and track computer programs in the lab to see that they are up and running. Recommend to the department chair any upgrades and equipment needs.
Department Service – Coordinate and assist department chair with certain administrative work. Announcements, Competitions, Displays, Open house and etc.
Monitor and assist in discipline of class or individuals as to rules and regulations of UMKC, department, profession, and the law.
Epperson House Library
– collect, sort, organize and maintain material housed in library
Qualifications: B.A. Architecture or other related design degrees

Position Description: To teach Architecture, Urban Planning & Design courses such as: Environmental Design Studio I and II, Building Science, Structural Systems in Architecture I and II, Environmental Systems in Architecture, and Urban Planning classes for each semester.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Planning, or a B.A. in Architecture with equivalent experience.
