Position Title:
Position Description: To Teach a class in Graphic Design Production that will compliment other Graphic Design (I, II, III) classes. The course will cover areas of design production ranging from digital pre-press to paper and its use and specification, pagination, binding, and many other aspects of printing, from spot to process. This class would involve hands-on projects, in-class lectures, guest lecturers, field trips, written exams on terminology, etc. Position starts Winter Semester.

Position Description: The Department of Art & Art History has a number of openings for artists and art historians with sufficient background and experience to work with full-time faculty in a variety of capacities. These duties include assisting with resarch, advising duties, occasional lectures, coordination of speakers and some occasional office support services.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree with preference given to candidates with advanced graduate degrees and/or professional experience in the relevant fields of computer design programs, museum work, and research experience.

Position Description: Assist full-time faculty in an introductory class to software that has graphic and desktop applications. The course will deal primarily with digital graphic software that is presently considered industry standard: Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe PhotoShop. The class will also touch on other software programs that can have an impact on future computer literacy and practice of the student, such as Adobe Acrobat, for PDF File formation and interaction, Dreamweaver and Flash, for web page development. The position will start Fall semester.
Qualifications: B.A. required. Professional experience with the mentioned software required. Some teaching experience preferred.

Position Description: Teach a course which introduces some of the basic elements of art (line, value, form/shape, space, texture) and an understanding of their interaction in creating a work of art, specifically through the drawing process. Aspects of scale, proportion, perspective, composition are covered. Introduction to a variety of drawing media and techniques.
