Department of Communication Studies
The University of Missouri-Kansas City is located in the
primary cultural hub of Kansas City and enrolls more than 14,000 students across
its various colleges, Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law, Biological
Sciences, Computing and Engineering, Business and Public Administration,
Conservatory of Music and Education. The Communication Studies department is
the second largest academic unit within the College of Arts and Sciences, with
325 majors and enrolls more than 1,000 students annually in service courses.
Position Title: Lecturer Primarily Part-Time
Position Description: Must be qualified to teach in at least
one of the following areas: (1) communication performance, (2)
communication theory, (3) radio-television-film production or
programming, (4) journalism for the mass media.
Qualifications: Master's degree required. ABD acceptable, Ph.D.
preferred. Persons with classroom teaching experience in higher
education in the areas indicated above will be given preference.
