The UMKC Department of Geosciences offers coursework in atmospheric sciences, environmental studies, geography, and geology, leading to undergraduate degrees in environmental studies, geography, and geology. Our unique master’s degree program, Environmental and Urban Geosciences program, reflects a distinct departmental focus on application of the geosciences to human activities. The department also participates in a visionary interdisciplinary doctoral degree program where the Geosciences department works with faculty from an array of disciplines to develop degree programs tailored to the needs of the individual student.
