Position Title:  Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics, Tenure Track

Position Description: The person hired for this position will be a major contact between the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, the other departments in the College of Arts & Sciences, and the School of Computing and Engineering (SCE), so as to enhance cooperative education and research between that School and the departments in the College. All applicants should have expertise in an area of Applied Mathematics. The successful applicant will teach mathematics or statistics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will be expected to have a research record of a quality sufficient to participate in the department’s doctoral and master’s programs.

Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics or a related field and demonstrated potential for a successful research and teaching career.

Position Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant

Position Description: Full responsibility for teaching 5-6 hours of course work per semester or render equivalent services in tutoring, grading, etc.
Qualifications: Graduate Degree-seeking student in Mathematics or Statistics enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours of course work approved by the department.

Position Title: Graduate Assistant

Position Description: The persons hired for these positions will assist the teaching of certain courses by a full-time faculty member in the department during the Fall or Spring semester. The duties may include grading and helping students as the lecturer sees fit, among other duties as needed in the course, and will amount to no more than 10 hours of work per week.

Qualifications: Applicants must be graduate students enrolled in the department’s graduate program pursuing either a Master’s degree or an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in which mathematics is the coordinating discipline. Applicants must be taking at least one class from the department during the semester of employment.

Position Description: Part-time position contingent upon sufficient enrollment in Math. Dept. courses.  Teach 100 and 200 level courses. 
Qualifications: Master's degree in mathematics, or equivalent, and teaching experience.
