Position Description:
The Department of Physics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship position to start in Fall of 2008. The targeted area of interest is in Astronomy or Astrophysics. A Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience are required. The successful candidate is expected to establish an externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise. He/she is expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise undergraduate, M.S. and Ph.D. students, as well as interact with other faculty in the Department and across disciplines.
