Position Description: The Program Assistant (PA) will be responsible for providing administrative support for all aspects of the Master of Science in Anesthesia (MSA) program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). This position is classified based on the degree of programmatic involvement, level and degree of independence exercised and the scope and impact of decision making. The PA will be given delegated authority to exercise judgment and decision-making along program requirements that are governed by a variety of complex rules and regulations. Although the PA will work independently under the direction of the MSA Program Director, the majority of the work is considered complex clerical in nature.
Qualifications:
• The candidate must hold a graduate degree in education,
administration, medicine or physiology or related discipline.
• A licensed board certified anesthesiologist or an anesthesiologist
assistant-certified highly preferred.
• Previous education administration experience desirable.

Position Description: The Program Director is ultimately responsible for all decisions related to the daily operational and educational aspects of the MSA program including clinical and didactic curriculum content, quality assurance, program budget, marketing, political liaison with universities and state medical boards, student admissions and matriculation, student advancement, and faculty development. The Program Director will have direct reporting line and accountability to the Academic Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology.
