Login to Blackboard

Type blackboard.umkc.edu (no www.) in the address bar of your browser or click the Blackboard logo on the front page of the UMKC website.
Type your username (SSO) and password (the same as Pathway) in the designated website.
Click Login.

If you do not remember your username contact the IS Call Center.

If you do not remember your password click Forgot My Password here.

Why should I log out of Blackboard, instead of just closing the Blackboard window?

If you do not log out of Blackboard, and you are using a public computer, anyone who using the computer after you will have access to your Blackboard account, including your grades, tests, and documents. Use the Logout button located in the upper right corner to log out of Blackboard.

Access Course Sites

To enter a course site, click the course name in the My Courses section of the UMKC tab. In most cases, you will enter a course at the course Homepage which contains the Notification Dashboard. Course navigation is on the left side of the window. The buttons correspond to tools or content areas within the course. When you click on a button, the items in that area will appear in the frame on the right.
