    General Information
Campus Pack is a suite of five applications accessed from Blackboard: Blogs, Wikis, My Expo (Personal website builder & blogging tool), Podcast, and Search. These easy-to-use tools engage students in the online learning environment. Use Blogs and Wikis within your courses or use My Expo to create rich media websites for community blogs and wikis, academic portfolios, and collaboration. Instantly create and subscribe to audio and video feeds using Podcast. Use Search to find information within courses without going through each folder.
      Blogs
Experience the power of blogging (a "web log" or online journal designed to be updated frequently).
JournalLX is a Blog tool that gives instructors the ability to create rich media journals within a course. As a private journal, blogs can be used for reflecting on course readings, class discussions, or field experiences. Configured for group access, students can review and comment on their peers' postings, and instructors can participate with students in the evolving dialog. Through Blogs students are motivated to sharpen their critical thinking and rhetorical skills. Instructors can encourage creativity by having students add images, external links, and files to their posts.
        Wikis
Build knowledge by building wikis (a team-built website)
TeamsLX is a Wiki tool for collaboratively creating rich media websites. Sharing a common online workspace, team members author content, assemble research, and present their work product in a format that enhances participation and encourages organization. Instructors can create group assignments where students use wikis for group functions ranging from note-taking to building outlines and brainstorming to formulate, write, and publish their solutions in the form of websites. Build shared knowledge bases and eliminate countless group emails with students accessing and updating information all in one location.
          My Expos
Create and share personal spaces and portfolios
ExpoLX is a dynamic personal wiki and blog application for users to easily build websites relevant to their personal interests and activities. A user can create blogs and wikis within a site and, through an individually-selected option, allow viewers to comment and contribute content. Researchers can collaborate on discipline-specific sites, and faculty can easily publish departmental information. Images, uploaded files, and links to external resources add to the richness of the shared sites. By facilitating such online interaction, My Expo builds connections and fosters collaborative learning online.
            Podcast
Click to create, click to subscribe.
PodcastLX is a tool to create and add podcast episodes to your course with the same few steps needed to add other content in Blackboard. With one click, RSS links can be generated with the added convenience of accessing recordings either from within Blackboard or offline. A quick drag-and drop of the RSS link establishes the subscription to the RSS feed. Episodes are then automatically downloaded to the user’s portable device.
              Search
                Find the right content fast.
The Search LX tool empowers users to perform full-text searches of all content in courses in which they are members and have access rights. This application searches all types of uploaded files, including .doc, .pdf, and .html. This is the fastest way to find course content. Rather than spending time traversing countless levels of folders, enter keywords or phrases and see the search results in seconds. Users can create advanced searches to narrow results.
