Blackboard 9.1 - What Can I Expect with This Upgrade?
UMKC upgraded to Blackboard 9.1 between Summer and Fall 2011 semesters. Most of what you did in Blackboard 9 will remain the same. the most notable change is the Create Item option in the content areas. Until now, the only way to add information, documents, mp3 files, videos, images and other files to a content area was to use the Create Item button. Regardless of what kind of file you uploaded, it typically displayed as an underlined link. In Blackboard 9.1, instead of Create Item, you will click Build Content and select the specific type of content you plan to upload. Of course, you can still use the Item option to upload files as you have in previous versions of Blakcboard. Blackboard 9.1 has wraps that help ensure that all users can access multimedia content. Tegrity allows instructors to record their lectures as they happen in an ILE room or create recordings capturing the screen on their home/office computer.
Archive Your Course Site (video by Blackboard On Demand) Course content for courses is archived by UMKC Instructional Technology Services each semester. However, student data is not retained. Archiving your course site at the end of the semester will give you a zipped file of your course content and student data in the event of a grade challenge.

Turnitin Assignment Suite The Turnitin Suite provides a platform which allows instructor to easily toggle between the Originality Report, GradeMark (for commenting), and PeerMark (for peer review) screens while viewing a student's submitted paper.

Rubrics There are two rubrics tools available in Blackboard. the Blackboard rubric tool can be used with any Blackboard gradable item. The rubric tool in Turnitin can be associated with any Turnitin assignment.

Respondus Campus-Wide 4.0 makes test creation for Blackboard more efficient & allows instructors to download and/or print tests from Blackboard
