Training & Support

UMKC's Instructional Technologies offers training and support for our online learning delivery systems and courseware tools. We will customize training sessions to fit your need. To request a visit at your campus office or make an appointment with us for one-on-one or small group training please email its@umkc.edu. Training and support are offered several ways:

Faculty Support

Faculty support is available from 7 am to 6 pm weekdays by:

To report a system outage after normal business hours, please call the UMKC Call Center at 816-235-2000. Their answering service will contact the appropriate UMKC IS staff to make sure that the problem is resolved as quickly as possible.

Face to Face Training

One-on-one assistance or small group training such as:

  • Short orientations for individuals, faculty, or department staff meetings
  • Multiple sessions for beginning use of online learning and delivery systems
  • Subject-specific training about individual tools and features within online learning systems or the courseware tools that support them.

Open Lab Help Sessions

For hands-on help with any UMKC instructional technology products, please attend one of our monthly Open Lab Help Sessions. Staff will be on hand to sit down and work one-on-one with faculty and staff to answer questions about any ITS-supported software.

Upcoming Open Lab Help Sessions:
