Recording your classes has traditionally been a resource intensive affair, but not anymore! Tegrity allows you to do all of the above and much more with a simplistic interface that can be mastered in ten minutes. Not convinced? Using Wimba Voice Tools in Blackboard

Description:Wimba Voice allows students and teachers to learn and teach in the most natural way of all – with voice. Faculty can easily add synchronous and asynchronous vocal collaboration into Blackboard. Wimba Pronto allows students and instructors to spontaneously meet live online at any time to discuss their coursework or hold office hours.
This hands-on workshop will explain how to use Wimba Voice in Blackboard. The Wimba Voice Tools include Voice Authoring, Voice Email, threaded Voice Boards (audio discussion boards), Voice Presentation (audio, web-based slide shows), and Voice Podcasters (a simple, effective, Blackboard-based podcast solution). They are simple to work with and engaging for both students and instructors. All a learner or instructor needs is a computer with a microphone and speakers, and an internet connection. Description: The Self & Peer Assessment tool puts students in control of their learning. It allows students to review and grade their own and each other's work based on criteria set by the teacher. Using the Self & Peer Assessment tool in an online or hybrid course provides a platform for self evaluation and collaboration. This tool can empower students to understand their own strengths and weaknesses learn how to collaborate and provide opportunities to offer constructive criticism. Attendees will get hands-on experience using this tool and will be ready to implement it in their own courses.
