Many faculty consider live, personal interaction to be the most valuable element of quality teaching and
learning experiences. Wimba Classroom is a real-time virtual classroom environment designed for distance
education and collaboration. Wimba Classroom allows faculty to create fully-featured live virtual
classrooms in a content area in Blackboard. It supports audio, video, application sharing, content display,
and whiteboard. Faculty can now use this classroom environment to hold live, online classes, office hours,
guest lectures, and meetings in Blackboard.
