UM Research Resources

Water Resources Center
The center seeks advanced technology solutions to water and other environmental problems. Two federally funded programs that we house in the center—the United States Geological Survey Resources Research Institute program and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Technology Assistance Center—are part of a national network of universities targeting water use and treatment. A third federally supported program, called the Institute for Environmental and Energy Technologies, is designed to showcase American environmental and energy industries as well as provide technical training in China. Under this Department of Commerce-backed program, the CoE will operate the first U.S. training office in China to focus on environmental and energy technologies.
