   Study Abroad Scholarship Tips

Tips for Applying   Recommendation Letters  Personal Statement

The following scholarships are specifically for UMKC students who are planning to study abroad. Many of them are local awards and only UMKC students are eligible to apply for them.  The scholarships and deadlines listed below are subject to change.  Contact CIAP at 816-235-5759 for further updates.

Please note:  The only summer or short term program scholarship available through CIAP is the UMKC Travel Award (preference to those going on programs which are 14+ days) and the Ernest Dick Scholarship for Bloch School students - all others are for semester or year long programs.

These scholarships are awarded to students going on approved Study Abroad programs. If you are going on a non-UMKC program, or on a program not listed on our website, please come by our office or call ASAP so we can walk you through the approval process!
