Have you been selected to be an exchange student at UMKC
through a partner university? Congratulations! Please
contact the UMKC Study Abroad Coordinator (Kate Wozniak)
as soon as possible and get started on the steps below
so that you may be considered for admission to UMKC as
an exchange student!
Do NOT apply online. PLEASE NOTE, EXCHANGE STUDENTS NEED TO
MAIL and E-MAIL ORIGINAL, HARD COPIES OF ALL DOCUMENTS TO:

We will hand deliver your documents to the appropriate
department (and have the $50 application fee waived
since you come from a partner school). We will contact
you upon receipt.
Step 1. International Student Application
Form
undergraduate or
graduate (must already hold bachelors degree).
Follow the application instructions - be sure to
include everything required on checklist. (ALL
required materials must be mailed directly to Kate
Wozniak at International Academic Programs (IAP).
Step 2.
Exchange Student Information Form - this needs
to be attached to the application
Step 3. You will automatically be enrolled
and billed for the UMKC insurance plan. (UMKC
International Student Insurance Information)
Step 4. Secure your
housing
BEFORE arrival to Kansas City!
Please note: Admission to the University does
not guarantee that you will receive University housing.
Students are not required to live on campus. You are
responsible for arranging your own housing. UMKC is not
responsible for your housing location or situation.

For Fall 2013: International Exchange Partner
Students must arrive on campus on or before August 12.
The mandatory orientation for Fall Semester 2013 is
August 13.
For Spring 2014: International Exchange Partner
Students must arrive on campus on or before January 13.
The mandatory orientation for Spring Semester 2014 is
January 14.
