The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
Who we are
Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, most
selective all-discipline honor society. Membership is by
invitation only to the top second semester juniors,
seniors, graduate and professional students.
What we do
Phi Kappa Phi members demonstrate the Phi Kappa Phi
motto, "Let the love of learning rule humanity".
Scholarship and contributions to the community at large
are the mark of Phi Kappa Phi
Why students should join
In addition to the recognition of scholarship and hard
work that you will receive at initiation, Phi Kappa Phi
members may apply for honors and awards such as the Phi
Kappa Phi Fellowship, Literacy Grant, Study Abroad
Grant, Love of Learning Award and Scholar or Artist
Award. Phi Kappa Phi offers networking and career
seeking opportunities. And national corporations such as
Dell and Avis provide discounts to members.
For more information about awards such as the Love of
Learning Award, see the Awards tab of

How to join
In early Spring, the chapter works with UMKC's
Institutional Research and Assessment office to access
the names and addresses of our top students. Letters of
invitation, with instructions on how to join, typically
go in the mail to your permanent address as listed in
Pathway in early to mid February.
