The Classroom Performance System (CPS) from eInstruction adds interactivity to the classroom.
With over 200 universities using CPS worldwide, eInstruction is the leading supplier of handheld response pads
in the education market. eInstruction has partnered with educators around the world to pioneer the use of
response pad technology in classrooms and lecture halls. CPS can be used for taking attendance, sparking class
discussion, generating class participation grades, administering exams, and recording and storing student
performance data. With CPS, you can interact with a class of 30 or 300--transforming your students from
passive listeners to active learners. See http://www.einstruction.com
for examples of how eInstruction can be used in your classroom.

If you are taking, or planning to take, more than one class that uses CPSOnline,
create only one CPSOnline account and consider purchasing a one semester ($10)
or a lifetime ($35) access (the one semester option has a cap of $39 after four
semesters). The access fee covers all of your CPSOnline classes during the
access period and you can use the same response pad. However, your response pad
number will be different for each class.
Follow the instructions that came packaged with your pad to enroll and start using your response pad.
If you are paying online to activate your pad, click the Process Payment button only once, as you will be
charged each time it is clicked. Become familiar with the LED lights on your pad by reading the
information included in the response pad packaging.
You are responsible for replacing the batteries in your response pad. With typical use, a set of
batteries will easily last a year or so.
