You are here: podcasting website home : podcasting for students

Podcasting is a relatively new technology that continues to grow in popularity in educational settings. Being able to review recorded lectures and other course materials provides you with the ability to work at your own pace.

How to tell if you are in a podcasting-enhanced course: There are two ways to tell if you are enrolled in a course that will be using Tegrity podcasts as a course tool.

1. Look for the announcement on your course's home page: The Bb administrator will typically post a welcome notification on every Tegrity enhanced course's home page. If you dont see this notification on your home page, be sure to look for the Tegrity Classes link.

2. Look for the Tegrity Classes link: All Tegrity enhanced courses will feature a 'Tegrity Classes' link in the main menu on the left side of your screen. This is also the link you will need, to revisit the recordings for your course..

Recommended Downloads: We recommend that students download some type of pod-catching or podcast aggregating software to manage their course podcasts. There are several free podcast aggregators available on the net. Here are two we recommend:
iTunes - Apple's all in one music management tool & podcast aggregator. Widely used and free.
Juice - A great free podcatcher with tons of features and customization.
