How to Use Your Analog Tap Telephone

Below are instructions on how to use the features of your display phone.

AUTHORIZATION CODE

(From idle telephone)
Lift handset...hear regular dial tone...dial Authorization Code...
hear regular dial tone...dial call.

(During active call)
Press TAP button...hear special dial tone...dial Authorization
Code...transfer or conference as usual.

CALL FORWARD

(To activate)
Lift handset...dial #, 1...hear regular dial tone...dial four-digit number where calls are to be forwarded (if nothing is dialed, last
number stored to forward will be reactivated)...hang up.
(To cancel)
Lift handset...dial #,1...no dial tone is heard...hang up.

CALL PICK UP

(To respond)
Hear phone ring...lift handset...dial 73...answer call.

CALL TRANSFER

(To activate)
Press TAP button...hear special dial tone...dial four-digit number...
announce caller in privacy...hang up.

CALL WAITING

(To respond)
Hear two quick beeps during a conversation...to answer new call,
press TAP button (first call is put on hold)...talk to incoming
caller...press TAP button to alternate between callers. NOTE: Only
works for direct in dial calls.

CONSULTATION HOLD

(To activate)
Press TAP button...hear special dial tone...dial number...consult
privately...allow consulted party to hang up...you are reconnected
to your original call.

LAST NUMBER REDIAL

(To activate)
Lift handset...dial 789...(last number dialed is automatically
redialed).

PERMANENT HOLD

(To Activate)
Press TAP button...
...hear special dial tone...dial#4...hang up. (Your call is
now on hold. If you hang up, your phone rings intermittently
to remind you;if you do not hang up, there is no ring).

(To Return)
Lift handset. (If you did not hang up...
press TAP button.)

SPEED CALL

(To program-Controller only)
Lift handset...dial #,2...hear regular dial tone...dial one or two-
digit Speed Call access code (0-9 or 00-24 or 00-49)...dial new number
to be stored...hang up. NOTE: Call must be programmed as acutally
dialed, i.e., 9 1 202 844 1212.

(To change-Controller only)
Lidt handset...dial #,2...hear regular dial tone...dial one or two-
digit Speed Call access code (0-9 or 00-24 or 00-49)...dial new
number...hang up.

(To erase-Controller only)
Lift handset...dial #,2...hear regular dial tone...dial one or two-
digit Speed Call access code (0-9 or 00-24 or 00-49)...press *
(number is automatically erased)...hang up.

(To use)
Lift handset...dial #,3...hear regular dial tone...dial appropriate
one or two-digit Speed Call access code (0-9 or 00-24 or 00-49)... (number is automatically dialed).

THREE-WAY CONFERENCE

(To activate)
Press TAP button...hear special dial tone...dial number...announce
conference...press TAP button to connect all callers...hang up when
conference is completed.
