Q:  How do I change my Unity Phone Password?
A:  If your voicemail box is assigned to your email account, your password can be reset online. Please visit www.umkc.edu/unity for instructions.
 
Q:  What is the Unity server name?
A:  kc-isnt-unity01.
 
Q:  Why are people telling me that when they try to leave a message, it is saying, "mailbox is full"?
A:  Voicemails are now stored in your email account. Therefore, when you email account is full, it will affect your ability to receive new voicemails.  Please clean your email account by archiving or deleting your old messages.  Click here to check your Exchange account size. If you need help with this, please call the IS-Call Center at 816-235-2000.
 
Q:  How do I transfer a call directly to voicemail?
A:  Ask the caller to hold.
     1.  Press "Transfer" (display phone) or "Tap" (tap phone).
     2.  Dial 5000.
     3.  Press #, and then dial the mailbox number, #, and 2.
     4.  Press "Transfer" (display) or hang up (tap) to finish the transfer.
 
Q:  Why did we get a new voicemail system?
A: The old voice mail system was essentially the same system we purchased almost 20 years ago.  The old hardware and software that we had needed to be upgraded or replaced before an unrecoverable or extended outage occurred.
