Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP)
For a fraction of the retail price, Microsoft now offers enrollment in the Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP) to UMKC faculty and staff. Under HUP, you may purchase one copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office for Mac 2011 (not both) for personal use on your own computer. The price of $9.95 (plus tax) provides you with a license key and allows you to download one copy of the software. You may also purchase a backup DVD for an additional $13.99, and various foreign language packs for an additional $9.95 each.
The license is valid for you as a single user only (no others such as family members) as long as you are a University employee. You are allowed two installs with this license: on one primary and one secondary device (for example, on a desktop and a laptop).
All support for the HUP software is provided by Microsoft. Setup and installation support is similar to the support provided to customers who purchase Microsoft programs at a retail store.
