 Getting Connected
  • At Home - You can check your e-mail and access other UMKC network resources from off campus locations. From home, you must connect to the Internet through a local service provider. A VPN connection is also required for access to some campus computing resources. See E-mail and Network Shares for more information.
  • In the Residence Halls - Internet access is available in residence hall rooms. Please check with your RA for more information.

  • In Your Office - Faculty and staff should check with their IT Liaison before attempting to connect computer equipment to the campus network.

  • In ILE Classrooms - Faculty can bring their Macintosh laptops into ILE Classrooms at UMKC to use the multimedia display options of those facilities.

  • Wireless on Campus - Go here for instructions on setting up wireless access on campus.
