Lab & ILE Folder Redirection
Folder Redirection
UMKC Information Services has switched over to redirected folders in the
IS-managed labs
and ILE rooms (from roaming profiles).
Redirected folders load much faster at login because there is no need to
copy files over to the local workstation. Additionally, your redirected
folders will be stored on your Q: drive, so that you can now access your files
from off-campus using the
UMKC VPN
client (make sure to select the client that maps your Q: drive).
For
example, anything saved to the Desktop or My Documents can now be found at:
Q:\Desktop
Q:\My Documents
The Desktop
and My Documents are not the only redirected folders. Here is a
full list of what folders are redirected:
