Site-Licensed Software

Information Services has licensed the EndNote, Maple, SAS, and SPSS products for use by currently employed faculty and staff members. The software can also be used in Student Computing Labs.

Remote installation is the preferred distribution method for all computers managed by Information Services or IT Liaisons. All that is required is the computer name. Once provided, the software can be installed immediately or at any time convenient for the user.

Licensing for home use is dependent on the package. This table summarizes the options.

Our SPSS license includes use of the Amos software system. Installation and renewal information is here.

Licensing Summary

The table below is a summary of the licensing for UMKC's major site licensed software packages. Students have access to the software only in IS managed labs. All software is allowed on any University owned computer. Whether or not it is possible to install the software on personally owned computers varies.
