As a UMKC student, faculty or staff member you have access to a host of online services with your SSO/Username and password
(SSO stands for single sign-on). By using
your SSO account, you are agreeing to ALL Acceptable Use Policies
and guidelines listed at
http://www.umkc.edu/is/policies/.
You will need the following information to change/reset/recover/create your
password:
-
Your UMKC SSO (username)
-
Your date of birth
-
Your UMKC Student ID number
-
The last four digits of your Social Security Number
You will also need to know the answer to your Password Recovery Question.
If you have not set a Password Recovery Question, you will be able to do so
during the password recovery process.

When
selecting your new password, keep in mind that your password must:

not contain any part of your prior password (if one exists)
-
be 8-120 characters in length
-
not be a word found in the dictionary
-
contain at least one character from each of the following:
-
lowercase letters: a-z
-
uppercase letters: A-Z
-
digits: 0-9
-
not contain any spaces
-
not be the same as your UMKC SSO (username)
-
not contain any piece of personal information, such as your phone
number or address

Your account will become locked if you enter the wrong password 3
times. If you are receiving a message at logon that your account is
locked you have two options:
- Wait 30 minutes. Your account will automatically become
unlocked after a period of 30 minutes.
- If you need immediate access to your account during business hours, please call the
IS Call Center at
