PREPARING TO COME TO UMKC
ARRIVAL INFORMATION FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS

 If you have not yet been admitted, please see the information for prospective students.

  • ISAO offers US Arrival Pick-Up and Temporary Housing services.
      This service allows you also to arrange for free transportation from the Kansas City Airport,
            or from the bus or train station where you arrive in Kansas City,
      and for volunteer assistance with temporary housing upon your arrival in Kansas City.
    When can you travel to Kansas City?

  • You MUST arrive in Kansas City no later than the Reporting Date
    that is noted on your I-20 or DS-2019 as the start date of your study.
    Generally, the required Orientation program starts the day after the Reporting Date.

  • You CANNOT arrive in the U.S.A. more than 30 days before the Reporting date.
 Typical Reporting Dates (but check: the date on your I-20 or DS-2019 may be different!)
  • Spring 2010: Monday, January 4, 2010
  • Summer 2010: Monday, May 31, 2010
  • Fall 2010: Monday, August 16, 2010
