UMKC - International Student Affairs
CHANCELLOR's NON-RESIDENT (CNR) SCHOLARSHIP
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The University of Missouri - Kansas City offers scholarships to outstanding international undergraduate and graduate applicants who are first time new students intending to enroll (including transfer students from U.S. institutions) to degree programs in College of Arts & Sciences, Henry W. Bloch School of Management, and Conservatory of Music in each academic year (from August to May).
Applicants for programs in the School of Computing and Engineering should review the Dean's International Award information.

Students who are admitted to a UMKC doctoral program are automatically awarded non-resident fee waivers for up to 9 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester. This automatic Doctoral Fee Waiver makes students ineligible for a CNR award.

 General Description

The Chancellor's Non-Resident Award ("CNR") is a renewable award that will cover the difference between Missouri Resident and Non-Resident fees, without a limit on the number of credit hours taken.

    • For a typical undergraduate student who enrolls in the required 12 credit hours in each Fall and Spring semester, the award for 2013-2014 will be $10,198 USD for the academic year.
Enrollment for more credit hours (e.g. 15 hours) provides a proportionally larger award (e.g. $12,747 USD).

    • For a typical graduate student who enrolls in 9 graduate credit hours in each Fall and Spring semester, the award for 2013-2014 will be $9,607 USD for the academic year.
All applicants meeting the criteria below are automatically considered for a CNR:
