International Student Council Elections
This is to announce that the International Student Council (ISC) is accepting nominations for the general election for the year 2006-2007. Applications should be returned to the ISAO during regular office hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) by no later than 4:45 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2006 (see attached). Officer elections will be held on Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Bloch School at 5:30 p.m. The Room number will be forthcoming shortly. Click here to download an application: ISC Application (pdf form) In this meeting, every UMKC nationality organization's representative(s) will have the opportunity to interview the candidates who nominated themselves, and will be able to hear from them directly about the plans that they have for the coming year. Each UMKC Nationality Group is permitted only one (1) vote per office being sought although more than one person from your nationality group may interview the candidates. Any full-time international student is able to seek office in this election provided that her/his GPA is 3.0 and higher, s/he has been a full time student at UMKC for at least one year, s/he intends to be a UMKC student through at least early May 2007, s/he likes to have fun and is able to interact with and enjoys meeting international students from other countries. The International Student Council (ISC) is an organization that provides a platform for all nationality groups on the UMKC campus to display their rich culture and heritage. ISC gives an opportunity to international students to learn about different countries in the world and make new friends. |
