B-1 servant B-1 Domestic or Personal Servant Personal or domestic servant to nonimmigrant in B,E,F,H,I,J,L,M,O,P, or Q status or US citizen who resides permanently abroad and is visiting temporarily in USA
WB Visa Waiver for Business Individuals permitted to enter USA without a visa for a stay limited to 90 days to engage in business activities; extension of stay or change of status from within USA is not permitted
B-2 Visitor for Tourism Individuals in USA for travel, tourism or recreation
B-2 prospective student B-2 Prospective Student or Prospective Exchange Visitor Under certain circumstances a US consulate can issue a B-2 visa with a "prospective student" or "prospective exchange visitor" notation; the notation "prospective" is required to allow a Change Of Status to F or J in the USA

H-1C Registered Nurses in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) Individuals in USA to perform nursing services at an approved facility in an area in a designated HPSA
H-2A Agricultural Worker Individuals in USA to perform temporary agricultural work for which a shortage of US workers exists, working for a specific employer for a fixed period of time
H-2B Skilled or Unskilled Worker Individuals in USA to perform temporary work for which a shortage of US workers exists, working for a specific employer for a fixed period of time
H-3 Trainee Individuals in USA for a temporary period to participate in a training program provided by a specific employer
H-4 Dependent of H-nonimmigrant Individuals in USA as dependents of an H visa holder

J-1 Exchange Visitor: Student Individuals in USA as exchange visitors for the primary purpose of studying at an academic institution under the auspices of the US Information Agency and a designated program sponsor
J-1 Exchange Visitor: Professor, Researcher, Specialist; Trainee; Physician Individuals in USA as visiting researchers, professors, short-term scholars, specialists, trainees, or alien physicians under the sponsorship of an exchange program designated by the US Information Agency or (since October 1999) Department of State
