UMKC is Kansas City’s University. That’s why we say Border Schmorder and EXPANDED the UMKC Metro Rate to include seven additional neighboring counties in Kansas beginning summer semester 2010.

We are now EXTENDING the Metro Rate to eligible* UNDERGRADUATE and GRADUATE students. Kansas residents of these seven neighboring counties can now earn their degrees and pay the same rates as Missouri residents.

Kansas residents of Atchison, Douglas, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, Osage, Shawnee and Wyandotte counties in eligible programs* can get the high-quality education they deserve at a low in-state cost.
