“The goal of the training program is to create a new workforce paradigm called dental and craniofacial bioengineering. There is no other NIH Roadmap Initiative program of this type in a dental school,” said Paulette Spencer, DDS, PhD., director of the UMKC Center for Research on Interfacial Structure and Properties (UMKC-CRISP).

It is a 10-week summer program for pre- and post-doctoral students with backgrounds in a variety of engineering disciplines.
