“This program is intensive and very productive,” said Mona Kalayeh, biomedical engineering student from Washington University in St. Louis. She is working on her research project with Yong Wang, Ph.D., associate professor of oral biology and co-director of UMKC-CRISP.
Kalayeh is one of a select few accepted into the program from institutions such as the University of Notre Dame, Tennessee State University, State University of New York, the University of Kansas, and others. Participants receive stipends, as well as reimbursement for travel costs to UMKC and a $1,600 housing allowance. |
