Dean Robert Piepho of the School of Pharmacy and Dean Lora Lacey-Haun of the School of Nursing posed for pictures with those who signed the beam, including Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes.

Other elected officials who attended the ceremony included Missouri State Senators Charlie Wheeler and Yvonne Wilson, as well as representatives from the offices of U.S. Senators Jim Talent and Kit Bond.
