Makuza pianist Mark Lowrey was a top award winner (individually and with Makuza) this year at the prestigious Elmhurst College Jazz Festival in Chicago.  Lowrey, who admits he has totally succumbed to the allure of Latin jazz, can frequently be found leading the late-night jam session on Saturday at Jardine’s on the Country Club Plaza.
