The Information Commons area, located on the library’s first floor, is a definition of what the library has become. With snug furniture that can be rearranged, a convenient help desk, soft lighting and easy computer access, the Commons is just as cozy as any room in your home, yet more useful.

“The Miller Nichols Library is the heart and living room on the UMKC Campus,” Sharon Bostick, dean of University Libraries, said. “You’ll be very comfortable here. Enjoy a cup of coffee and do what you need to do to be able to study.”
