Photographer Melissa Sellers presents "Gestation" on Nov. 11 at the UMKC Gallery of ArtKansas City, Mo. - Melissa Sellers, a photographer and Master of Arts student in Studio Art at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Department of Art and Art History, will present "Gestation" at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11 at the UMKC Gallery of Art, Room 203, 5015 Holmes St., Kansas City, Mo. In "Gestation," Sellers explores the gestation process of plants in order to reconcile fears and anxieties stemming from her recent pregnancy.
Melissa Sellers is a Digital Photography instructor at Olathe East High School. She received bachelor's degrees in Fine Arts and Art Education from Emporia State University. Her work also has been shown at Emporia State University, the Olathe District Schools Faculty Exhibition and a solo exhibition titled "Innocent Confessions" at Belle Epoque in Kansas City, Mo.
