Conservatory releases video on Musical Bridges program
Composer and performer Daniel Bernard Roumain recently completed a residency with the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory's Musical Bridges program.
The Musical Bridges program gives young, underrepresented musicians the intensive, one-on-one instruction and performance experience necessary to prepare for auditions into selective university programs like UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.
In 2012, Conservatory in the Schools was awarded a $65,000 Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This grant makes possible further expansion of the Musical Bridges program in 2012-13, reaching more students than ever.
