UMKC schedules public forums for provost searchKANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Missouri-Kansas City will hold five public forums on September 7, 2007, to discuss the qualities and characteristics most suitable for the individual who will serve as provost.
The search committee and Greenwood and Associates, the firm contracted to help the university identify the largest and most qualified pool, will be present.
“We want to make certain that everyone—staff, students, faculty and the communities we serve—has a voice in this process,” said Karen Dace, deputy chancellor for diversity, access and equity. “Information shared during these forums will shape the selection process.”

10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Volker Campus Administrative Center, Brookside Room

The provost is a member of the chancellor’s senior leadership team and is responsible for ensuring academic excellence and maintaining growth in funding for research and outreach.
