Tonya Crawford, School of Pharmacy, named a 2008 Student Affairs Honor Recipient One of 10 students recognized for outstanding academic and service involvementThe University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management named Tonya Crawford a 2008 Honor Award recipient, one of 10 graduating seniors to be commended for both academic achievements and participation in programs outside the classroom.
The honor award program was established in 1975 to recognize graduating seniors who excelled in academic achievement, involvement in university programs and service to the campus and surrounding community.
Crawford will graduate from the School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and plans to enter the pharmacy residency program at the University of Illinois-Chicago. In addition to her academic schedule, Crawford is a member of the Student Grievance and Student Conduct Committee and President of the UMKC Student Chapter of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.
Crawford’s volunteer and service activities include Operation Diabetes, Ronald McDonald House and Professional School Student Panel.
Crawford and her fellow recipients will be honored at a reception and breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m., May 9 in room 106 of the University Center, 5000 Holmes St., Kansas City, MO.
