Mark your calendar for Communiversity Wholistic Health Fair Event includes expo, workshops and silent auctionCommuniversity — the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s (UMKC) adult education program — will hold its bi-annual Wholistic Health Fair from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at the UMKC University Center, Pierson Auditorium, 5100 Holmes, Kansas City, MO. Since 1999, the Fair has provided the opportunity for Kansas City-area health and therapeutic professionals to get together to share ideas and techniques with each other and with the public. The Wholistic Health Fair includes a free Expo with more than 60 exhibitors, as well as 22 Wholistic Health workshops available to attendees for a nominal fee.
“The goal of the Health Fair is to not only offer attendees a showcase of great products and services, but to provide a meaningful educational component as well,” said Communiversity Director Rick Mareske. “The Fair gives people an opportunity to see demonstrations and learn a variety of valuable techniques for getting healthy and staying healthy.”
Along with the educational workshops and the diverse offerings of local vendors, the Wholistic Health Fair will also feature a huge Silent Auction offering a wide variety of healthy products and services.

Communiversity is an adult education program sponsored by UMKC's Student Life Office. All classes are taught by volunteer teachers. Class topics range from cooking classes to financial planning seminars, from belly dancing to wholistic health.
