Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing Jackie Witt works with a community leader to take blood pressures and counsel participants.

The WEW program trains community women living with HIV to become co-facilitators with UMKC Nursing faculty. The faculty teach co-facilitators about HIV, health promotion, violence prevention, and women's health. They also teach them how to recruit participants and lead group activities within the community to empower other women.
