Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing Jackie Witt works with a community leader to take blood pressures and counsel participants.

The WEW program trains community women living with HIV to become co-facilitators with UMKC nursing faculty. The WEW staff then tailors the program for the needs of the specific community. They teach co-facilitators about HIV, health promotion, violence prevention, and women's health. They also teach them how to recruit participants and lead group activities.
