MEET  Dr. Rob Leachman,  Program Director

Dr. Rob Leachman provides advisement for the curriculum and
instruction degree program and the three educational administration
degree programs held at UMKC Northland.

He also serves as an instructor for several Northland classes.

A native of the Northland, Dr. Leachman retired at the end of the
2008-09 school year after serving as superintendent of the Smithville
R-II School District since 2002.  During his thirty-year career in
Missouri public schools, he also served as a teacher, coach, high school principal, and assistant superintendent.  Dr. Leachman has a B.S. in Secondary Education from NWMSU, an M.A. in Educational Administration from UMKC, an Ed.S. in Educational Administration from CMSU, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from the University at Missouri-Columbia.

Dr. Leachman joined UMKC Northland as our Program Director on August 1, 2009.  He stated, "With the outstanding graduate programs, excellent faculty and support staff, and great customer service for which the center has become known, I am very excited to be a part of the UMKC Northland team."
