- Review and approve requests to access PHI of Decedents
- Review and develop sanctions Violations by Staff (Research and Non-Research) of the Privacy Rule
The School of Dentistry is UMKC's only Covered Entity. Under HIPAA, the University of Missouri at Kansas City is considered a Hybrid Entity, which is a single legal entity whose business activities include both covered and non-covered functions
