If you do not have a UMKC e-mail account, please contact Megan Good (goodm@umkc.edu) or 816.235.1358 for a copy of the training tutorial.
If you have already completed HIPAA training offered by the covered entity (CE) you are affiliated, such as Truman Medical Center, Children's Mercy, or St. Luke's Hospital, you will need to provide documentation indicating your completion and a synopsis of the training. This will take the place of the requirement to complete UMKC's HIPAA tutorial and UMKC's HIPAA certificate of completion. However, UMKC HIPAA Coordinators may require you to complete UMKC's HIPAA tutorial if there are any doubts or questions about the contents of the training completed at the CE, which you are affiliated.
