If you wish to submit an amendment or continuation to your protocol, please contact the
IACUC Coordinator |
You will modify your currently approved IACUC protocol. You must make the changes by using "track changes" and submit the changed IACUC Form to the IACUC Coordinator. |

| Use of Hazardous Material | ||
Written notice of such approvals must be submitted to the IACUC before animal use can begin. |
Approval for use of biohazardous materials or recombinant DNA in animals must be obtained from the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC). The Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) must approve use of radioactive materials and materials that are potentially chemical toxicants. |

UMKC policy, consistent with provisions of the federal AWA Regulations, prohibits discrimination or reprisal for reporting concerns about the care and use of animals within UMKC. It is the policy of the UMKC to protect the positions and reputations of those, who in good faith, make bring concerns to the attention of the IACUC Anonymous concerns are acceptable and will be investigated. |
UMKC and the IACUC encourage reporting of concerns. It is UMKC's policy to prohibit discrimination or reprisal against anyone for reporting violations of standards or deviations from policies or approved protocols and procedures for animal care and use. |
